Maine Bike Recycling Network

The mission of the Maine Bike Recycling Network is to facilitate the transfer of usable bicycles between those who no longer need them, and organizations who will put them to good use.

The MBRN is in the beginning stages of formation at this time. Eventually, our goal is to have a series of public drop-off centers, as well as frequent collection events, around the state. We are not there yet. In the meantime, you can bring your unused bikes in good condition directly to any of the reputable programs listed below. (In fact, you are encouraged to do this anytime, even after our programs are up and running. We simply want to facilitate the process for those times or places when direct dropoff is not convenient.)

  The Community Bicycle Center exists to empower people through bicycles and bicycling experiences with a focus on youth development.

  Bikes not Bombs works for alternative transportation and community development. The group operates the Bicycle Recycling and Youth Training Center, to promote environmental education, meaningful employment, and safe sustainable communities, both in Roxbury and abroad.
